Origin
Green Grape came from Tom Wagner, the same breeder as Green Zebra, who released it in 1978 from a cross of several heirlooms including Evergreen; despite the common claim, Yellow Pear is not in its parentage. It brings the green-when-ripe trait down to a one-ounce plum-shaped fruit on an indeterminate plant, with the sharp citrus edge typical of green-fleshed varieties.
