Origin
Roland Boulanger bred Sart Roloise in Sart Eustache, Belgium, from a cross of White Wonder and Baby Blue. The result is a large beefsteak with deep indigo anthocyanin brushed across the shoulders over a pale base, and a sweet, fruity, tropical flavour with enough acidity behind it to stay interesting. It is a collector's variety rather than a garden staple.
