Origin

Yellow Brandywine shares the potato-leaf foliage and the long season of the pink Brandywine but ripens to a deep golden yellow with denser, less watery flesh. It is one of the latest varieties in common cultivation, which puts it out of reach in short-season gardens. Despite the name it is not directly related to the red or pink Brandywines, and the ripe colour is closer to orange than to a clear yellow.
